Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics

1 Vision Aviation is seeking certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanics to join our family in Salina, Kansas. A&P mechanics perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision. They must ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications while interpreting aircraft technical manuals and electrical drawings. Mechanics must be able to follow standard operating procedures and operating support equipment such as external power carts, hydraulic mules, lift platforms, and tow tugs).
Qualifications
• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certified mechanic
• CRJ 900 experienced preferred but not required
• Must be able to obtain airport operating ramp badge
• Must posses own hand tools adequate to perform aircraft maintenance and be capable of using aircraft-specific tooling and equipment
• Familiar with basic inventory management functions
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
• Familiar with computer data entry, and Microsoft windows-based programs
• Capable of lifting 75lbs. and working in confined spaces
• Willing to travel as needed
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening
• Must be able to pass a 10 year background screening

Aviation Sheetmetal Mechanic

1 Vision Aviation is experienced aviation sheetmetal mechanics. Mechanics perform visual inspections for damage to aircraft surfaces and components, inspect for corrosion, and record findings using proper documentation. Other requirements include taping windows, landing gear, plastic and fiberglass to protect from chemicals; acid etching and washing, priming and applying epoxy and paint. Performing structural repairs by manufacturing and installing parts, and reinforcing, patching and replacing defective parts, performing modifications to aircraft structures and conducting final inspections Utilizing precision tools to perform structural repairs and modifications to exacting standards in accordance with provided technical data utilizing mechanical and sanders, similar tools preparing the aircraft, panel and part surfaces prior to coating/painting mechanical stripping method. Providing maintenance support such as mechanical stripping, and/or sand applications on aircraft, panels and parts.
Qualifications:
• Proficient in mechanical stripping of paint material’s on aircraft panels and surfaces
• Corrosion repair and mitigation of aircraft panels and structural components
• Modification to and structural repair of aircraft panels and structural components (mandatory)
• Experience inspecting and evaluating structural damage to aircraft sheetmetal systems
• Preparing composite surfaces using state of the art materials
• Knowledge of the use of common tools, such as hammers, punches, pneumatic drill motors, rivet guns, hand sanders, high speed grinders, and sanders, protractors, calipers, height, depth, dial gauges
• Ability to lift 70 pounds
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening
• Must be able to pass a 10 year background screening
• Willing to travel if needed
